A fine, dry white wine aged in Missouri oak. Fruity with oak overtones. This is a wonderful wine to drink with poultry, seafood, pasta, or just by itself. $13/bottle

Genevieve Rivard
This sweet white wine is light and fruity. Good by itself or with a light meal. $10/bottle

2002 Late Harvest Chardonel
A bountiful harvest in 2002 left several rows of grapes hanging until mid-October increasing the natural sugar in the grapes and creating an exquisitely sweet dessert wine with no added sweetners. This "dessert in a glass" is the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. $25/bottle

Francois
Charleville's first red wine. Dry, light, and well-balanced. Pairs beautifully with food. Quite drinkable by itself. $18/bottle

Charleville wines are produced entirely from grapes grown on the vineyard property.

Jack and Joal Russell, vintners, the direct descendants of Joseph Chauvin dit Charleville, b. 1713, and Genevieve Monique Rivard Charleville, b. 1708, welcome you to their vineyard and tasting rooms.

Joseph was the Captain of the French Militia, Kaskaskia, Illinois. His youngest son, Francois Chauvin dit Charleville, b. 1754, served as a Captain of Kaskaskia's volunteer militia. Francois assisted George Rogers Clark, brother of William Clark of Lewis and Clark fame, in the capture of Vincennes during the Revolutionary War. For his service in this key campaign, Francois was granted two hundred acres of land near Ste. Genevieve, Missouri where he died in 1793.

The Charleville Winery is located on that acreage. The wines are named for those early ancestors.
